Tuntutan ekonomi yang semakin tinggi saat ini terkadang membuat suami dan istri dalam sebuah keluarga harus bekerja. Kondisi ini berpengaruh pada keterlibatan orang tua  dalam pengasuhan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis serta memberikan solusi tentang keterlibatan orang tua  dalam pengasuhan pada dual earner family. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu dengan mengumpulkan data-data pustaka tentang keterlibatan orang tua  dalam pengasuhan pada dual earner family. Metode pengumpulan data pustaka dilakukan dengan membaca, mencatat serta mengelola bahan penelitian dengan melakukan analisis kritis lalu menyimpulkan bahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian yaitu orang tua  merupakan pengasuh terpenting dalam kehidupan anak-anak. Keseimbangan tugas pengasuhan pada keluarga dual-career adalah sebuah proses dan bukan sebuah pencapaian statis. Pola asuh yang efektif dalam dual earner family harus menyeimbangkan peran gender antara suami dan istri, yaitu dengan saling bekerjasama satu sama lain, misalnya suami dan istri sama-sama turut aktif dalam membersihkan rumah, pendidikan dan kesehatan anak serta kegiatan di masyarakat.
