Abstract


Setiap orang tua senantiasa menginginkan kebahagiaan untuk anaknya termasuk seorang ibu tunggal yang membesarkan anak sendirian, dapat pastikan ingin memberikan kebahagiaan bagi anaknya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis lebih mendalam orientasi happiness atau kebahagiaan pada ibu dengan status single mother atau ibu tunggal. Subjek penelitian adalah seorang ibu tunggal yang cerai mati dengan suaminya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Adapun pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan cara dokumentasi, wawancara dan observasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display atau penyajian data dan verifikasi data untuk penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah seorang ibu telah berupaya bangkit dan tangguh dalam menjalankan kehidupannya demi merawat dan mendidik anak dengan orientasi hidup yang menyenangkan, melibatkan diri dalam aktifitas sosial di masyarakat dan memiliki makna hidup
